South Sound Parenting is dedicated to helping parents and children stay connected through safe, supportive, and professionally supervised virtual visits. Visits are provided remotely through Zoom, offering families a flexible option when in-person visitation isn’t possible or when a parent and child live in different areas.

How Virtual Visits Work
We strive to make the visitation process simple, predictable, and comfortable for everyone involved.
A visitation schedule is coordinated with both parents, taking into consideration the day, time, and length of the visit. The Zoom link is sent to both parents the day before each scheduled visit.
At the scheduled time, the parent and child will enter separate virtual waiting rooms. Once everyone is ready, they will be admitted into the visit. This process helps provide a structured and supervised environment while giving parents and children an opportunity to focus on their time together.

Diane Zumwalt, RN, BA in Child Development
Diane brings a combination of healthcare, child development, and parenting education experience to her work with families.
As a registered nurse, Diane has worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and has additional experience in Pediatrics and Mother/Baby care. She has also worked in an abuse prevention program, where she provided parenting education and support to families.
Diane has taught parenting classes, provided parent education through play groups, and administered developmental assessments using the Denver Developmental Screening and Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ).
Through South Sound Parenting, Diane is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where parents and children can maintain connection and continue building their relationships.
